I've placed my order with Perry Miniatures for the Return of the King figure. In between checking my mailbox every five minutes, I started considering the folly of my actions: I don't have any other figures from 400 years before or after the War of the Roses, so this might be the start of a new obsession for me
My first need would be for Richard's nephew Edmund, also known as the Black Adder – thinking a 15th Century noble with a bad bowl haircut, oversized codpiece and pointy shoes. Also might need a dung-covered dogsbody/servant. Can anyone help out with a figure recommendation? But why stop in the 15th Century? How about an Elizabethan courtier, with curly hair, a goatee and a ruff? A Regency era Butler? A Victorian gentleman? And finally, a space warlord, either in full war panoply or, alternately, in his servant's posing pouch? Any advice appreciated! |

I've thought about doing an Elizabethan tavern brawl scenario with Blackadder, Marlowe, Shakespeare & his "Dark Lady" taking part, & for Blacky I'd use a Foundry Swashbuckler: Squire Edwards from pack SB022 "Squire Edwards'Swashbucklers". He's in a dueling pose, but IMO Queenie's Edmund was the butchest of the bunch. |
