Did you know Wintdtalkers, the movie? What is, in your opinion, the best ruleset to "play" it? Roby |

IABSM (if Nic Cage is not a big man, in the movie, then no one is) Fireball Forward. Those are if you want to tackle the subject a little more realistically then the movie of course. "we have a precious resource in these wind talkers that must never be captured! Send them out in front of the line every chance you get!" |

You could try operation squad for the smaller scenes. My mate tried it and said it is great for simulating squad sized skirmishes, something like playing a tabletop version of Call Of Duty. You wouldn't want more than a squad a side I believe, but you could do the last scene where the 4-7 of them are ascending the hill, taking out the Japanese left right and centre etc. For the larger battle go with one of the sets mentioned above |

It would have to be a fantasy set since the way Nick Cage used his 9mm could only be replicated in fantasy!! He could not miss from any angle! |

Nice thing about NUTS is you can also play co-op and solo, in addition to head to head. Currently playing an off and on again Guadalcanal campaign, co-op with all the players running a USMC squad against the chart- driven "AI" Japanese. Last game was a tense night action on Tulagi at Phase Line A, next will be on Guadalcanal proper. Here's the AAR -- dang, was that a YEAR ago?!? Where does the time go??? link |

I especially liked how Nicholas Cage found an unknown copy of the Resolution Desk in a Japanese bunker, which led him to the Spear of Destiny in a crypt beneath the ruins of Nan Madol! |

I couldn't sit through that movie, so I certainly don't want to play a game based on it! |
