So I ordered three boxes of the Bolt Action/Warlord Japanese, two,of the regular troops and one of the Jungle Fighters. In my forty odd years in the hobby, these will rank as some of the worst figures I have seen. The only real compliment I can give is that the poses are pretty good. But detail and casting quality are quite poor. The faces are particularly poor. A good deal of clean up was required. I guess I got what I paid for, as they were inexpensive. Overall, I would not recommend them.

Good to know. Thanks.

I bought a box over a year ago and was pretty happy with them. I bought another box last summer and found lots of casting flaws requiring lots of extra work. Sounds like the mold has gone to hell.

I did buy a blister of Jungle Fighters a few months ago. I found them quite good, except that I came up 1 head short. Which reminds me I need to contact Warlord.

I bought a couple of packs of Jungle Fighters a while back, bit of flash but they cleaned up OK. Mixed in well enough with my TAG Japs.

I bought a pack of 10 jungle fighters about 6 months ago and they were pretty good models. No complaints.

Last night I sent an email to Warlord, regarding my headless Jungle Fighter, and included a photo of the minis (for proof of purchase). Within an hour I received an automated response giving me a claim number and informing me I'd be contacted by someone who would be looking into this. This morning I received a personalized message stating this person would look into resolving my problem.

I got some Warlord figures recently, they needed a fair bit of cleaning up. my free Para carrying wounded buddy still has rather a bad step line through his face…

The casting is sometime very poor… disappointing!
Long time spent cuting and cleaning….
On another hand, as stated, their service is just outstanding and they will replace the damaged pieces or unusable figures at their own expense, I already experienced the fact.
Nevertheless, Warlord, please, find a true pro to get the job done!

I've found that the Bolt Action blisters are often missing parts.

The Brit Paras my wife bought as a Christmas present are good.

Despite my abysmal painting my Bolt Action paras turned out kind of OK..which for me is pretty outstanding. Phoned in my order and got excellent service. I have heard others mention missing parts in Blister packs, but that they got the missing parts quickly and without fuss.

I was impressed with the forward observers after I'd stuck in the seperate heads

Warlord seems to be a mixed bag when it comes to metal minis. Their plastics seem to have better consistency.

The only problem I've had was when my Russian Maxim pack was missing the lower half of the gunner! I contacted Warlord and they gave me a complete new pack. Can't argue with that.

I have a fair amount of Bolt Action "IJA" miniatures,as Uesugi Kenshin said their a mixed bag. I use about 2/3 of them, the rest are Assault Group miniatures. Between the two ranges some really great poses. IMHO stay away from the On To Berlin range of the "IJA". The Assault Group being the best!
