LittleWars is attempting to make the convention an event not just for the Miniature Wargamer, but a convention that offers activities for other family members while we play our games. During the week, Little Wars, is in St. Charles, Pheasant Run has activities and options.

On the weekends, we have wii set up in the library for children to play. Our Kids Klub is open that is complimentary for overnight guests. Parents can check their children between the ages of 3 to 11 and they can play and do crafts. We also have our craft corner area open in the afternoons. Here families can make fun foam crafts and or bracelets. All crafts are under $6.00 USD.

Also available for 21 years and older is our Zanies Comedy . Patti Vasquez will be the comedian for that last weekend in April. Friday night she is at 8:00pm show or 9:45pm show and Saturday is 7:30pm or 9:45pm. Tickets are $23.00 USD plus a two item food or beverage minimum.

For our main stage Theater, we have Forever Plaid. Friday and Saturday performances start at 8:00pm. Guest can see the Box Office off Bourbon Street to either purchase or pick up tickets . Also the Arcada has performances and tickets that run $60.00 USD. per. Here they have live shows and music right off Main Street in St Charles-(630.962.7000)- ticket information.

Our Jambalaya Restaurant will have their all you can eat our Louisiana fish fry on Friday nights for $11.95 USD per person and on Saturday night is the ribs for $14.95 USD per. This comes with a salad bar. The restaurant also has live entertainment on Friday, DJ and Saturday band from 10pm-1am. We do not have a cover charge but Jambalaya becomes 21 and older after 9:00pm.

Downtown St Charles, is another great place to visit or dine. The restaurants and shops are 10 minutes west of Pheasant Run Resort. Just to let you know we have the activity center available on site ( on weekends) here at the resort that can help provide you with additional information.

Last time I was at Pheasant Run was May, 1975 for my senior class party…I suspect things have changed a little since then…I do miss White Castle.

Looking forward to it!!!

They now have a Culver's right next to the con site! Not White Castle but it is better than McD's

I suspect things have changed a little since then

Some parts might have, other parts look very dated and probably are still from the 70's

There is a Hilton Garden Inn that is a little closer and more modern looking. No convention rate AFAIK but you get a nicer hotel.

charles popp22 Mar 2013 5:39 a.m. PST

Steve really ,what isn't better than McDonalds?
I got Culvers here. I forgot also down the road is Portillo's.

As usual Mr Elmo gets it wrong. The Tower rooms in the Pheasant Run resort have been recently remodeled, they have mini fridges and microwaves. They have the room rate, Hilton does not give us any room deals. So if you want to pay more for a Hotel that looks more modern the choice is yours.

KSeward22 Mar 2013 2:12 p.m. PST

The convention room rate at Pheasant Run is $99.00 USD per night. The Hilton Garden Inn is $126 USD per night for the same dates according to their web site. If I can have an extra $54.00 USD to spend in the vendor's area it looks like a win / win to me. Since all I plan to do in my room is sleep and shower in the morning, I'll take the money, please.

charles popp23 Mar 2013 6:53 p.m. PST

126 wow, I got mine for $85. USD I guess that is what you get for booking early. I bet the rate at hotles.com is better than that.

Time is running short, so make sure you book your rooms at the Pheasant Run Resort while the room block is open.

I am trying to get my gaming partner to donate a full brigade of the Iron Brigade he just had done last year because he just got them redone again. This is I think the third time.

That would be great. I have a few Items that I am putting in the auction, and have a nice book that was donated by Keith Rocco, also a few others have said they have some stuff to put in the auction as well.
