A useful contemporary watercolour of a whole army marching and fighting, with a selection of enemy types. link |

Excellent link. I noted the drummers of the 12th wore a summer kit, that is no red coat. I liked the variety of transport. There are some good ideas there. Cheers, |

Unless they are in reverse colours? The Cavalry and artillery musicians are all in reversed colours. |

OUTSTANDING RESOURCE. I've had access to a limited number of these in B&W, but having the whole series in color is priceless. More useful data here for sculptors/painters than in a stack of books. Go, save each one, and take your library to the next level. TVAG |

Further to this topic, apart from the Southern Indian forces in Coorg, who could be possible, if not actual, enemies for the Bengal and Madras armies in about 1835? |

"I noted the drummers of the 12th wore a summer kit, that is no red coat." Apparently all bandsmen in the British army at that time, and the Company Army, clearly, wore white, so these are probably wearing the standard white bandsmen's uniform. |
