I'm building a small Iraqi town for a scenario at Origins (Operation Stormbringer). I need vehicles to decorate the streets. It's a 28mm game and I have found a few die cast metal cars but they tend to be a bit expensive and a limited selection. I bought the police cruiser thinking I could remove the lights and repaint it but I don't want/need a Lamborghini.

Any ideas on where I can get some fairly cheap, pre-assembled, and common vehicles?

Thanks in advance

I got a bunch of diecast cars and trucks from walmart over the years. All for $3.88 USD or less. Took a little hammer to door or hood here and there, hit it with a wash and some dulcote…bam!

In the US?? Check out CVS-_they have some 1/43 cars & trucks. Not usually in the toy section but on a separate display in different spots. Cost is about $6 USD-7. Some cars are a tad larger scale, so you have to be careful.

Rite Aid and Walgreens are also good places to find them. If you have other chain pharmacies in your area, they might have them as well.

Thanks guys I will check them out. I was planning on taking a hammer to a sedan and then painting it white with orange quarter panels. You gotta have an Iraqi taxi or it wouldnt be complete.
