I'm looking for solid rules for solo 15mm sci-fi wargaming. While I have USE ME (and have actually written some of its books), I'm looking for something more detailed. Any recommendations?

Check out 2hourwargames 5150.

I second 5150

THW 5150 series is great… also The Department is a cool bladerunner-esque system where you are a detective, and can be used solo.

Tomorrow's War.

Omer – keep an eye on Tiny Solitary Soldiers. It looks like SpaceJacker has come up with an revised version of his old Gut Check game. The original rules were quite fun… Unpredictable reactions without getting bogged down in tables.

Hi Omer,
Two Hour Wargames' 5150: Star Army is your best bet for solo-play sci-fi featuring platoon to company level battles. 5150: New Beginnings is best for smaller levels of skirmishing, a few figures on each side. All of THW's wargaming titles are great for solo-gaming.

Yep, 5150, or FUBAR would work well.

Maj Diz Thank you for the info about 5150 Star Army. Might be the one I'm after.

All of the THW rules (like 5150) with the reaction rolls are very suitable for solo play; the enemy force (or both forces, if you like) can basically 'drive themselves' with only a little common-sense input from the player.

TFL's Quadrant 13 will do nicely.

5150, Tomorrow's War, Spacejacker's Gut Check

I'll try 5150 and its variants, thank you!

Gruntz? I play a lot of solo with it. Video evidence here: YouTube link

I'll second the Gruntz rules.
I've had some realy tense solo games with my 6mm not-VOTOMS using Gruntz with the optional card activation.
Been meaning to do some AAR's but halfway into the game I usually get so caught up in the action that I forget to take notes/pictures.
