As General Hochemeont's division approached Naughty Rhyme, the 12th Prince of Taffsea's Own Light Dragoons (Hobgoblin) turned about and skirmished with the Legion du Rospo Hippos. The reason for this sudden bellicosity was soon made clear as scouts reported Naughty Rhyme both occupied and fortified.
The enemy appear to be the brigade of Sir Morcambe N. Wise. More background and photos (as well as maps) at: link |

Here is the battle plan such as it is.
As there were only six turns of daylight remaining and my force was strung out in line of march, will start the attack at daylight on day 5. First brigade will assault the Britorcn left. First Guinalea, supported by Third Guinalea "the Banshee Boyz" will demonstrate against the Britiorcn center. The wee folk of Second Guinalea will move through the wooded gully and attempt to turn the Britorcn right flank. It is quite possible that there are more orc troops hidden behind the hill. Even so the advance of the wee folk should tie them up. Second brigade will remain in reserve for now. |

What rules system are you using? Shako & Musket? |

Yes. Although I'm not sure how to translate the fantasy element into it. I might just fudge movement rates and maybe add in (gasp) saving throws. If I play it straight then those Rebel units without fire arms are doomed
: ) EDIT: If the Rebels just get higher reps then normal, and get treated as regulars as opposed to irregular then they should have a reasonable chance to press home their attacks. So its more about damage and movement. Will look at the conversion I wrote for Flintloque/Long Rifle. |

A local just visited my camp and told me that while my estimate of enemy strength is correct. The enemy dragoons are behind the hill covering the guns. The wee folk would get the chop for sure if I adhere to my original plan. Back to a straight up frontal assault I guess |
