Title tells all…

EDIT Actually it does not. From a still it appears to take place modern day and Ponch from CHiPS is involved.

Can it get any better than that?

> Can it get any better than that?

One word: Mansquito

corporalpat18 Mar 2013 5:36 a.m. PST

OK, OK. Looks absolutely cheesy. A must see!

Well, it could be a lot worse, it could have been an "alternate history" take on why the Texians lost in 1836.

M C MonkeyDew18 Mar 2013 6:32 a.m. PST

Nick! That would have been better!

SS Doomtrooper…
Dinocroc
Mansquito
Mega-Piranha
And the list grows…

GROSSMAN18 Mar 2013 9:27 a.m. PST

Throw a Squach in the mix and I'm there.

"Chupacabra vs. SS Doomtrooper"

I thought Sharktapus was awesome.

And if Dinocroc was the one with Kristy Swanson well, it was watchable at least.

Stopped watching that channel and switched over to Science. Which I think is the new SciFI channel of the 21st century. It has Firefly, Dark Matters and several other neat shows. It was neat watching its Alien First Contact series of shows.

I hope it's more "Piranhaconda" than it is "Mansquito", though it's certainly not going to have as good a theme song as "Piranhaconda".

"Swamp Shark" was the Kristy Swanson one, and it was actually not too bad either.

And no, I can't believe that I'm seriously comparing the merits of SyFy Channel movies.

M C MonkeyDew19 Mar 2013 12:18 p.m. PST

Lol! I know what you mean. I do enjoy the better ones. "Better" here usually means they don't take themselves too seriously. Even then though some of them are just un-watchable.

Ah but those that are watchable, are such fun.

I particularly enjoyed the one with the Wyvern that terrorized the mock Northern Exposure cast…

EDIT: And who can forget Captain Coollio taking on the Pterasaurs? Sheer cinematic genius :)

darthfozzywig19 Mar 2013 6:30 p.m. PST

I thought Sharktapus was awesome.

It was hilariously bad. And Eric Roberts – O, how the mighty have fallen!

Another low for even the SyFy Channel … May actually be worse than Coollio vs. the Flying Dinos …

I must watch!!!

The original Chupacabra concept was so cool, before every weird-looking dog got the blame:

PS. Here was my Chupacabra version 1.0:

I need to post pics of version 2.0

Well, my wife posted a pic of 2.0 on her Instagram:

This is what I was shooting for:

But this is how sloppy mine looks when magnified:

I swear it looked fine to me with the bad lighting at the hotel! I guess I better get more light or new glasses.

I prefer the original "reptilian" version of the creature:

However …

If you are one of those who like the newer "dog-like" version of the beast, beware this monster specimen:

And these two ferocious ones here:

I saw it listed last night, but didn't watch it. BTW: This is apparently the SECOND Chupacabra movie they've made. Nevertheless… I must give them credit for one of the best movie titles of all time.

M C MonkeyDew26 Mar 2013 8:53 a.m. PST

"We got chupacabras all up in here!"!

Watching it now and its faboo.

CGI mangy Chupacabras running amok.

Poor Erik sounds like he has as much trouble breathing as I do.

Lot's of shots of him all CHiPs like on his bike…

And he plays a descendant of Juan Seguin.

Must see bad SyFy!
