Hello all, Curious to see what other rules systems would be compatible with FoW infantry basing? |

This has been discussed numerous times on this board – you might try a search. I know I Aint Been Shot Mum comes up as does Crossfire. |

Pretty much any multi scale game usually is not too discriminatory on base types such as Battlegroup Kursk/Normandy |

Fireball Forward and possibly Look Sarge No Charts:WW2 (but you'd probably need charts) |

Would also work for Blitzkrieg Commander. (BKC & BKCII) |

It does work for BKC & BKCII. Tried a late 42 western desert game all went well. |

I play NUTS using FOW minis but they are based individually. I use the bases to mount scenery etc on. |

I'm thinking of Rapid Fire with my FoW basing

Operational games like Megablitz and NQM could cope with FoW basing, as could a tactical game like PBI (though you would need some tweaks). Far better to base for PBI (which suits having LMGs on separate bases) and then put two PBI bases together to play FoW, of course. Phil |

They work with pretty well any other set of rules which allows you to use bases of troops. A base is a base is a base. So, everything from 1 base = 1 team/section stuff up to 1 base = 1 battalion. Some juggling of ground scales may be required for rules which have very prescriptive base size specifications, but in my experience most rules will work with any old base size. All my 15mm WW2 stuff is mounted on 30x30, notionally in teams/groups and I use them for everything from 1:1 skirmishy stuff up to multi-divisional corps/army level actions. |

We are going to try Bolt Action rules with FoW figures as well. |

I am pretty sure that the FoW mini blisters come with legal language on them – preventing their use in any setting other than FoW. |

"All my 15mm WW2 stuff is mounted on 30x30"
as is mine. We were obviously playing the same sets of rules! |

We play Bolt Action with them, and use the same measurements etc. Works very well! |

Fireball Forward convert easy. No need to rebase figs. |

Like Martin I use the 30 x 30 base too except infantry teams of 4 or more are based on 40 x 30. I like the look and the bases are easier to handle (gf9 econo)than the fow bases. Plus if I ever do go for company level gaming I'd more than likely do PBI-so fairly close to that systems recommended basing. |

I use mine to play Memoir'44 games on a Hotz 5" hex mat. |

They work pretty well with Bolt Action. Just a bit more record keeping and knowing which figures have what type of weapons. I still plan on making some individual figures to supplement the game. Next up it to try them with Battlegroup Kursk. |
