Dear All,

The other day I posted in advance about yesterday's Project Gettysburg Practice game at the Hall of Heroes, Campbelltown, giving the scenario details for what was essentially a blind meeting engagement, each side feeding troops in Bde by Bde fighting down the length of the table:

Well suffice it to say that the game exceeded all my expectations of what was, frankly, pretty lazy scenario work on my part! An exciting and challenging game, initially very cerebral and strategic, then steadily becoming more tactical and hard fought…As usual Matt did us proud with a 15 foot long by 6' wide beautifully landscaped table to play over.

I can do no better than recommend perusal of Jason's, one of the Gallant Southern Gentlemen, blog about this matter:

These pictures are from that blog, and I can't resist one of the Union team, including your humble correspondent, looking peturbed as the Rebel Yell gets increasingly louder and nearer…

Wow…that looks REALLY nice…too bad I've got so much tied up in 15mm ACW….

Agreed! It was a cracking good game Sparker and gave both sides many anxious moments.

Yes I like to show a good turn of ankle…

Has anyone EVER seen a picture of Philip without a mug of tea to hand?
