Give that man a medal!!

A lot of folks having been discussing this kit on the web You're the first with visual proof that you actually completed one! Looks good too.

Thanks for the kind comments Sigwald, point people to my blog if they are wanting to see the completed kit! I am currently working on the second plane from the box, it is going surprisingly well, so I expect it all to go wrong at any time…

Just lovely! Patience would definitely be a prerequisite here.

I suppose you know about the wings palette website, but just in case, you can check out some color schemes here:

Thanks Jack! Yeah patience is a virtue in this case…

I'd not seen the wings palette, thanks for the link, that will be very useful. I am trying to track down how aircraft would be marked within a squadron, numbers and the like.

There was no common method of marking for Pup squadrons – they all had their own idiosyncracies. The Osprey on Sopwith Pup aces, or the monstrous British Aviation Squadron Markings Of WWI are probably your best bet – if I ever get them finished, my Pups are destined for 46 squadron….

Thanks Dom, so it would be OK to just paint paint numbers on them in the style of the decals with the kits?

I've seen the British aviation Markings book, but it's a little out of my price range at the moment, maybe in the future.

Yes and no – the numbered one is a 46 bird; their B flight was numbered 1 to 6, but the aircraft had a variety of individual markings on the wheel hubs and wing centre sections, so it depends how picky you are.

Ah right, I shall look closely at 46 Squadron then and see if there's any I like. Thanks for the info Dom!
