A Royalist cavalry regiment for my Cropredy Bridge 1644 colection. Flag needs adding when I find them!!

More pics (and closeups of each base) on blog at: link

Beautifully done! I find that Cropredy Bridge is one of the more interesting battles in the ECW.

Stunning, from figures to horse to basing.

Something I could never tell when looking at English Civil War figures, how do you tell if they are Royalist or Parliment troops?

They all look the same to me.

Oddball -as a very general rule of thumb, in the early part of the war, royalists generally are associated with red sashes and parliamentary troops with orange/ tawny brown. However, for the most part troops were very similarly dressed.
Thanks for your comments.

Look at that shading! If I had figures like that I wouldn't dare use them. Works of art.

He should laugh. "They know not where his body lies."

i'm just getting into the period. thanks for the inspiration. my army is the Scottish Covenentars, so they are easy to spot! Gray with blue hats all the way.

He's lucky he was called upon to surrender whilst pinned under his horse at Winceby, and not simply shot out of hand or taken prisoner surely? His bodyguard weren't so generous towards Sir Ingram.

Very effective. Nice tones and skilfully painted armour.
Perhaps the breeches are a little too bright for me but what do I know. I love the shape of the horses' blazes and the horses coats exquisite.
