Being a superstitious type, I can't break my longer than ten year tradition of blogging about every HMGS convention I've ever been to. So, here you are, complete with audio commentary and digital special effects, including explosions, is my AFTER ACTION REPORT on the recent COLD WARS 2013 Convention held in Lancaster PA. Link here: link

Many thanks to Frank, Michelle, Bob, Scott and my staff colleagues for working their asses off to put on a great show for the people. I had a great time.

I look forward to your blogging of HMGS conventions and this one is another fun read! Thank you very much.

Nice report! A couple of points:
1. Most of the pics are upside down; and
2. Check out the video right at the end of the blog- priceless! What software did you use for the special effects?

"laughing in the face of diversity"

But I looked GOOD in the pink con shirt!

Hey, I protest! I typed "adversity" incorrectly, and the stupid spell check interpreted my typo that way. I kind of like it better this way. Me and Yogi Berra, Deja Vu all over again. :-D

As for the pictures, I get that when I take pictures with an Ipad and host them on Photobucket. I'm seeing them right side up on the PC, but upside down on the Ipad.. go figure. If I manually rotate them, they'll be upside down on the PC.

I used Bad Robot Interactive's "Action Movie Effects" and a few seconds of footage of mundane scenes around the convention. Easy peasey.

Sorry I missed it.

Except for the drone strikes, I'm fine with missing those.

Its fine, let the iPod People stand on their heads.

Walt, As always, love the blog. You provide me the positive memories of the show that I can go back and reflect on. Really sorry about your injury. I wondered why you didn't sit down and talk after the chair implosion (not Walt's fault), I hope you are ok. Thanks to all for a great show.

Scott: I felt a little foolish and was suffering from lack of gravitas. My intentions were good! I did get some great pictures of your game, though!
