So what happens when you figure out a way to play fantasy battles with your 4 year old? Lots of really good father son time that's what. Please do have a look at the first few pages of a battle report we did together, he insisted I should be doing an evil laugh like in the game and that tree men roar. We used a system of our own devising using special dice, Arthur was able to see exactly how well his troops were doing and really got involved. If you're interested in how things went please do follow the link to the blog to see how things turned out: link So what happens when you figure out a way to play fantasy battles with your 4 year old? LOL! Sometimes it is not that easy! When my son was introduced to gaming and GW, he immediately latched onto Tyranids, Dark Eldar and Chaos Marines. I even painted up a Ultramarine 1000 point army for him but he never did have much to do with it. Even today, it is the xenos that he prefers to game with. I, of course, was simply happy he wanted to game! Even today, it is one of the guaranteed things I know we will do together, so good times! Larry |

Brilliant, looks like you has a blast. I am looking forward ot my youngest getting slightly older to play table top games with. My boys are now at the early teenager years and thier interest in wargaming has diminished some what. |

Started my boys around 6 and I run a game called "It's Elementary" geared toward the elementary age students. They love to game but are more into videos as young teens. They will still go to conventions with me when they can and will get into games that look interesting. Oldest is now into Vietnam era. We have been doing X-Wing a lot this past six months. Great photos and comic book style layout. I have a young nephew that I hope to get painting with this spring (some of my spare Reaper minis are designated for that). |

Great report, and a brilliant game approach. Similar to Battle Masters, but I think you've done it one better. |

My lad started last year, aged 6. Saturday sees his (and mine) first tournament, 40k doubles! I have to ask him more rules questions (soooooo many special rules) than him me. |

Glad everyone is enjoying reading the comic style report. It really helps the lad read it when presented in this format too. Love hearing about how you are all finding time with your youngsters even as they get older. |
