I ran two Villers-Bocage Fireball Forward scenarios at Cold Wars this weekend. On Friday, I ran "Encounter at Livry", which begins with elements from the 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars on the road to Villers-Bocage encountering the first German resistance at a crossroads near the village of Livry. An anti-tank gun knocks out the lead Cromwell in the column. The British call up a platoon of infantry from The Rifle Brigade to neutralize the threat and allow the advance to go on. This one resulted in the historical outcome, with the gun eliminated and the road opened for the advance.

On Saturday, I ran "Closing the Door", in which infantry elements from the newly arriving 2nd Panzer Division attack British armor from the 4th County of London Yeomanry at the western end of Villers-Bocage and attempt to trap British forces in the town. This one also produce an historical result with the British successfully warding off the attack.

Both scenarios are from my upcoming Villers-Bocage scenario book. I've posted some photos here:

Sean,
My son and I played in the first game. Had a great time…thanks for hosting.

He learned some good lessons on using the "Queen of Battle" to protect "The Arm of Decision".

The cards are from a custom online producer of such things. Mark Fastoso has been trying to decide whether to try and sell the cards or simply make the files available for order by anybody whop wants to order them. I'll talk to him today and see if I can post the address of where to buy them.

And here's the website-- The pack is $10.25 USD plus shipping and all the cash is going to the producing web site so that costs to players could be kept low. The deck is 96 cards since it has Allied, Axis, Soviet, and Japanese cards and each card has a unique photograph from WW II. Enjoy!
