Great work. Good as inspiration for myself as I have some Highlanders gathering dust but have been too wary of painting the kilts to get them done. Maybe soon…

Nathan Vinson10 Mar 2013 7:13 p.m. PST

Very nicely painted indeed well done

Must not start a new scale, must not start a new army…
Well done paint jobs!

trailape10 Mar 2013 9:03 p.m. PST

OUTSTANDING!
The Highlander bearing his arse seems to have raised the ire of the Sergeant.

Commented on your blog. Great work.

Great work, I've got the 42nd to do in 18mm so have copied your pics to file as a reference.

Excellent!!

Now you know why I've never paint up a British Army.

Just the thought of painting up Highlanders gives me the chills.

Battlescale11 Mar 2013 11:27 a.m. PST

Brilliant work. That tartan would have driven me insane!

Very nice. One of those Highlanders is showing more than his buttocks and, as the parts in question are visible, is clearly not from the new Perrys' release of the Retreat from Moscow…………

Lovely job.

The miniature you refer to is a Wesfalian miniatures Rude highlander.

Nice painting Dan,
The tartan came out great!

David Digger11 Mar 2013 7:57 p.m. PST

I couldn't resist ordering Westfalia's rude highlanders. Of course, that means I'll have to get some Victrix miniatures to accompany them and that's not something I was planning to do!

I'll be refering to Dan's figures when I start painting.

David, have same problem. Gunner, great work, and suspect that the camera is not really capturing how nice these figures are painted.
