Hi all, I'm thinking of getting some of these 1:700 ships, but I can't find any pictures of the 6 ships actually still available. These are: MT3 HMS Euryalus 36 Gun Frigate MT23 Africane 38 Gun Frigate MT43 Fama MT44 Santa Leocarda MT63 Chesapeake Frigate 38 Guns MT64 Essex Frigate 38 Guns I like to see what I'm getting before I shell out that many clams. Can anyone assist? |

Well, I have them all, but they're packed away for moving. I can assure you they are fabulous models and you will not be disappointed! |

Thanks Dave! Good luck with the move – for Age of Sail gamers this must be most perilous! |

There are a couple of views here, now that I think about it. link |

I too wish there were more images available of these kits – it might help spur me on to risk ordering them. All I have see are the photos the Fedro posted on this forum last year of HMS Victory, at the link below. I will say that judging from those pictures the models seem pretty nice. – James TMP link |

> Dave, I think that one there is of a heavier vessel, but it does look good, and they seem to have a tiny picture of the British kit. (Unless I'm missing some.) > James, I took the plunge, based on the pictures I have seen of their ships of the line, and hoping that their quality is continued down. Since I know everything I know about 1:1200 ships from your weblog, I'll be pleased to return the favour and post pictures of the 4 kits I bought. Stay tuned for bare metal when they first arrive, and then painted ships in, well, weeks, months, or even decades to come. I guess there're some trips to naval museums ahead of me

Sad that this line never dried up and never got bigger. I was sorely tempted several times. |

Muerto, glad to hear you've taken the plunge. I look forward to your pictures! – James |

In the interim, I found this: link Again, more guns than the ships available now, but maybe of some relevance. |

That's a great set of picture for showing what the kits are like out of the box, thanks for linking to that – James |

And checking on the guys on the other side of the hobby, I found this: link Photo #10 is "French frigate Hortense sending signals", the only one with a frigate. Maybe this ship is somewhat close to the Africane (which is not one of the four I bought). I looked everywhere else on the site – no more pages of relevance. |

Wow, that is a great diorama. The only thing missing is some ship damage from all the cannon fire. Beautiful ships. Vol |
