Hi all I was wondering which of following three would you suggest to someone interested in war-gaming world war one on the pc? Commander the Great War World War One Gold Guns of August 1914-1918 With Respect Konstantinos Tavlos |

I purchased Guns of August and tried to get into it but you really have to read the manual to figure everything out. One of these days I might try to play it again. I want to purchase Commander the Great War but am trying to justify the price right now. It seems a little bit easier to play then Guns of August. |

As for World War One Gold, I Have played other games with similar game engines which is more like a real time strategy game and not turn based. I liked it for the French and Indian war as it was easy to see everything and there were not to many units. I tried it for the American revolution and did not like it as there was to much stuff to try to keep track of in the real time environment. I believe the Hearts of Iron games have a similar mechanic to them. |
