The crew of the Hunley were laid to rest on April 17, 2004. |

The crew of the CSS Hunley were not members of the US Armed forces. They were honored but not eligible for interment in Arlington. |

The Monitor was raised several years back. Where have the bodies been since then? |

The remains were sent to the Joint Prisoners of War, Missing in Action Accounting Command (JPAC)in Oahu, Hawaii to try to identify them. |

The remains of the Hunley crew are buried in Charleston, SC. It is very well done and worth visiting. |
