@ThomasHobbes, I certainly can't deny that the goal posts shift a fair bit with this game – maybe if we called it goal post shifting instead of codex creep
? I'm also a lot happier as a gamer once I moved on from FoW, though i have nothing but fond and happy memories of the past ten plus years. |

Goal post shifting is fine! I still enjoy playing the game, though I am put off by the last spate of books. |

The Firefly @ AT15 certainly improves the force against tanks – specifically panthers and say some Russian with blue on blue. Medium tanks
certain penetration rather than highly, highly likely. Big boys, Elephant, KT etc, no difference. The other thing in the comparison with base shermans is that you can form a line of Firefly's to shoot at an 88 with no effect outside of 40 (mgs), base Sherman
can do it with more certainty (due to firepower) from 80. Just a thought in line with Op (I hope). |
