Any information would be apreciated. me and some of my frineds have bought a lot of their stuff and have a good bit of it painted up now it would be nice to have some rules to go with them. |

If you are talking about the Polish Trillogy, it has been available in English for years, but you need to find a bookshop that stocks books from Eastern Europe. Ditto the movies, Polish with English subtitles. |

The last I heard the chaps were coming over to Salute, 20 Apr 2013 to release the English language version, Tally Ho! |

This looks like another hardback complex highly graphic set of rules for the Renaissance era. Has anybody played this, and can compare it to DBR or FO W? I wonder how they get that hardback book to lie flat on the table. Do people like a will book that needs so many pages to present the rules, or do you like the rules presented in just a few pages with all of the examples and diagram somewhere else? |

Bob, I think the marketplace has been pretty clear on this one: they like the use of more words and inline diagrams. Unfortunately, as Phil would argue (correctly) the use of too many words can loosen the meaning. Look at the rules queries for Bolt Action, for example. |

There were some good AARs here last year, worth having a look, Tally Ho! |

Margard, thanks for the Link. I knew it was to be released at Salute, but there was a bit more info there. Right here on TMP a few months ago they said they would be funding it this month, and you could not only pre-order the rules, but get some other goodies as well. Of course a funding project is really a pre-order, but it more or less works like one. As for the layout, no I like less words, less color and less cost. But I want a set of rules geared towards this conflict, so these are the guys to go with. I am hoping one of the guys from the Wargamers comes by, I know they are on this board. I am pretty excited about this project, have been dumping overtime money into it for several months now. Owen |

Big books can be fine. If you are really into the period the cost is even justified
assuming it is going to be expensive. For me, the questions are, how many pages are the actual rules? Does the book include army lists and scenarios or am I going to be barraged with supplement after supplement (also today's trend). Is there enough in this book for me to design my own armies as I think they should be? John |

As posted on TMP last year, the book has alot of historical background about the period and the armies. The information currently available in english is limited. The authors have used Polish, and other, sources. |

No suplements, everthing is in the one book. The rules have been out for a couple of years, and no suplements yet. They just have been in polish instead of english. So it doesnt seem like there will be a lot of needed follow on material. As for sources, that I have found, there are three Osprey books, and one general history that covers a lot of years and areas. So while it is a good way to get an introduction the the period, much of it covers tie before and after the part I am interested in. I hope the book includes a lot of other material. I sure could use it. if this was a napoleonic game, I would not need it, I can find dozens of books, well hundreds really. I probably have twenty or so right by me on my bookshelf. I dont even have an idea of what the terain would have looked like. I have a bit of an idea about the buildings, because of the buildings the Wargamers have released. Now if somebody in the USA would actualy carry most of it. the one place I fpund that carries it, has almost nothing in stock. Owen |

Crowd funding campaing will start on Kickstarter (not on Indiegogo as we officially planned) which is better platform for such activity. It will start this month, probably closer to end than a middle of it ;) We putting finishing touches to it now, making sure that pledges levels are interesting and offer not only English rules but also plenty of minis. Ruleset is big book as it is in fact two books in one :) Main rules (in Polish version 160+ pages) and first supplement 'Commonwealth in Flames' that including complete army lists for 6 armies (which is another 200+ pages) with historical description of each formation – its history, organisation, equipment and tactics. Rulebook itself have all rules that are required to create army and play on two levels ('Skirmish' and 'Division'). Currently two more armies (Courland and Royal City of Gdansk) are available as 'free to download' pdf from our website. We also release free historical battle group (and in future – regiments and divisions) that can be downloaded – with historical description, special organisation and rules that can be use instead of battle groups from main book. All those free pdfs will be translated into English as well. We understand that many of You might be tired of waiting for English translation, as it take a while now to show up. We are small company though, same time running tournaments in Poland, producing new minis and preparing another supplement called 'Deluge' (that will introduced 3 new armies and new scenarios and battle group for existing armies). So please wait a little bit more and we can only hope that You will find our game worth waiting for :) On behalf of Wargamer team Michał 'Kadrinazi' Paradowski |

I am betting on it being worth waiting for.Else I would not have bought so many of your minis. And I will not mind at all to pay for deluge when it comes out. I have commited to putting on a game at the biggest minis convention in the Ammerican northwest at the end of may. It is already on the events list. I hope I dont look stupid and have to cancel because I dont ahve the rules yet. I have faith that I wont, but I hope you can understand my being a little anxious about it. of course, as I went for the ogre kickstart, which is going to be nine months late right now and probably a year late by the time they really get it out, I have came by this feeling for a reason. But if the rules are up to the standard of the rest of your stuff that I have so far, it will be worth the wait. Thanks for the update. owen |

You will find our game worth waiting for :) Well it was that or learn Polish. I gave that up after years of Spanish and German, I could speak neither very well. We won't start in on my butchering of the English language

I had four years of german in highschool, and never got that good with it. Stationed in erman where I wanted food, drink, and local companionship vastly improved my speaking ability. I do have a question about timeing of the release. Will the rules be shipped out to arrive at the same time as Salute, or do we have to wait until after salute is over to get them shipped? It is a long way to the staes, adn I hope you dont put them on the slow canoe. owen |

I will check that and get back to You (taking under consideration what You mentioned about convention in USA in May) as personally I'm not based in Poland and need to send pigeon with letter to Wargamer's HQ in Warsaw ;) If You don't mind Owen, could You send us Your email address (mention in email that it's in regards to May convention) to mailbox: byfireandsword@wargamer.pl so I can send You answer directly? Best regards Michał |
