Sumerian Chariots in 6mm

Remember back in 2005, when I promised pictures of those Sumerian chariot stands in 6mm?

I added photos to my flckr.

The two Hadrosaurs arrived today. They were packed in the cellophane bags that you see in the photos. I opted to have my copies made in 'white, strong and flexible' The material is very light and has a granular texture. I noticed on one side of each model the layers of plastic are visible, but on a modelling site a poster advised that this can be gently sanded off.

I placed them next to HaT Industrie 1/72nd Zulu War British for scale. According to the artist, Anita Rodriguez, the dinosaurs are roughly 1/75.

Thanks for sharing I have looked at these on Shapeways but I was afraid they would not be as good in person. Your photos unfortunately confirm that the "casting" quality is just not there yet. The artist clearly has the anatomy down pat but the technology does do it justice. And I was hoping the figures would be more in line with 28mm or 1/56 scale. Still with a little work and a good paint job they should suffice.

I wonder if testing with this would help it out?

Those of us buying Shapeways aircraft refer to that as "knitting". I assume that it is WSF material. Contact Shapeways and send them your photos and see if they will reprint them. WSF is rough but usually doesn't look like a terrain map.
