I've noticed Terrement hasn't been around TMP for a while
nothing from him since November. I'm hoping he's OK. Is anyone here in contact with him and aware of his good health? |
| GarrisonMiniatures | 05 Mar 2013 5:26 p.m. PST |
Locked account: TMP link but you can still send him a private message. |
| Space Monkey | 05 Mar 2013 5:34 p.m. PST |
Oh, wow
hadn't noticed that. I wonder why he got locked
he wasn't particularly pugnacious or vitriolic. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll try sending him a note. |

he wasn't particularly pugnacious or vitriolic. Especially after he left the Blue Fez. |

He's ok. Heard from him yesterday. DM |

he wasn't particularly pugnacious or vitriolic. Was that sarcasm? |
| Space Monkey | 05 Mar 2013 8:45 p.m. PST |
Was that sarcasm? Not particularly
I didn't always agree with him but I think he made valuable contributions and didn't stand out as a 'bad element'. Another victim of Randomly Applied Wrath I'm guessing

Big men always gives a second chance Bill. Please, allow Terrement to return for his exile. You can establish a commitment with him and if these didn't work
well, he is out for ever. Yust my thoughts. Amicalement Armand |

Well, we had a few disagreements, but we could still happily exchange mesages and I looked on him as quite a valuable person to have around – not everyone you disagree with is an enemy, some things we did agree on. Would be nice to have him back. |

I agree. Did'nt always agree with JJ but found him to be a reasonable in a discussion.. |

Bring'em back. As long as he and Piq stifle each other. ; ) |

well, he is out for ever. Yust my thoughts. Already been there, done that. I don't think Terrement's problem is fixable until he's finally ready to give up his feud with Piq, and to stop blaming others for his problems. |
| Space Monkey | 06 Mar 2013 12:57 p.m. PST |
Yes, I too would like for him to return. |

Reasonable and Internet Web Forum do not belong in the same sentence, including this one. I like JJ, and I like Piq. However, they cannot seem to self-censor their comments. I've been tempted many, many times to unload on some unsuspecting sot on this forum who holds an opinion I do not agree with. I have even gone to the point of writing several paragraphs of profanity-laced rantings on why their position is wrong. However, I do not hit the "submit" button. I quietly re-read my response, their post which got me fired up, and make the difficult decision that continuing the discussion is pointless. The sot it is aimed at is probably baiting me, waiting for my response, so they can hit the complaint button. Alternatively, the sot is not going to get my response, no matter how reasoned it is, no matter how filled with citations, or references. Typically it is both. After due consideration, I hit the "delete" key as many times as it takes and then go back to the main forum and find another thread to peruse rather than risk the wrath of the Editor over my vitriolic rant. If you can't self-censor your comments, then you deserve what you get in most instances. Pleading with the Editor to reverse his decisions is a delicate task. He made them for a reason, and there is usually a large amount of information from other threads, topics, pages, which we are not aware of when he takes such drastic actions. I wouldn't mind seeing both of them back, but they broke the rules. They've seen numerous people who have done the same banned, locked, and otherwise banished from the realm. This forum is a bit like Game of Thrones, only there is one king without any competition so to speak, and it is best not to make him mad. |

I wouldn't mind seeing both of them back, but they broke the rules. The rules seem to be randomly, arbitrarily, enforced
just look at the Obituaries thread on Hugo Chavez
where are the rules being enforced on that one? More likely it comes down to bruised egos
then the rules make for a convenient club. |
| Jovian1 | 06 Mar 2013 3:48 p.m. PST |
Hey, don't go down that road Space Wizard. We all know what the rules are – how they are enforced is another thing altogether. I'm sure we could venture down a dozen political, religious, and other roads concerning the enforcement of rules and selective enforcement. |
Editor in Chief Bill | 06 Mar 2013 4:14 p.m. PST |
where are the rules being enforced on that one? Welcome to reality. Since I am only a forum-god, my power to be everywhere at once is quite limited. Also, I was a bit under the weather earlier today. I was afraid it might be the flu – I was exposed to it earlier in the week – but I seem to have rallied. |

Bill, hope you don't have the flu
make your Save roll. Surely you have at least a +1 since you are The Editor! |

Wizard if there's egregious stuff on the obit, it will be cared for. That's why I posted my notice in the Fez. |
