Interested in your source for the red coats. I had assumed that they would have been French White coats. |

Red coats are just as likely the core of the Jacobite forces was the royal army in Ireland who of course wore British red. French coats might do too but only if they arrived in Ireland before Cannon's boys left. From memory I'm not sure they did. |
