My second battalion of militia for my Spanish Napoleonic project. I used Perry Carlists for these chaps. Pop along to the Woolshed and have a gander.

Great stuff Brian. If you are going to do the Spanish then you have to do the militia units. Its a shame that we have 11564 miles between us, what great games we could have. Raglan |

Beautiful work. BTW let me recommend you to file off the tassel in the Basque bonnets as it marks it as Carlist and so posterior IIRC; also remember these kinds of big bonnets are particular to Basques. That's a simple modification which only would require slight repainting of the hat, although I guess nobody will seriously complaint if you finally don't do so. I know I would not and woudn't mind them wearing carlist bonnets, just sharing the info to let you know. The Perry "other hats" work excellent for generic, with the sleeve hat being characteristic of Catalans. Also you can mix the occasional regular soldier, and uniformed figures, as you did with your excellent looking "Voluntarios de Ciudad Rodrigo" (btw this is the right writing of the name of that unit; it is usual for English speaking people to mix the "i" and "u", I guess because of pronunciation, and to make "o" of "u"). |

Good job Brian. Wish I had your skills. |

@Dogged – I wasn't sure if the hats would be perfect but I figured "What the heck". Apart from you, me and the entire TMP population who reads this post – who will know? :) @Lord Raglan – A wargaming holiday to the other side of the world is on if I win lotto. |

Good show. Brigade games also has a nice range for the period. Will have to order some guerrillas for my Carlist Tercios. |

Very nice! I've started using some of the Carlist range figures for my Spanish guerrillas in the Peninsula War. |
