I played "The Trenches" back when that mod was out. It was fun, but never caught on. Day of Defeat caught most of my attention back then, as I played in a clan competitively. I certainly think WWI could make a great setting for a shooter, especially as the graphics and technical capabilities are so much better than when the Trenches came out.
