I bought some Three Musketeers miniatures back in the 70s or 80s from a company that I THINK was in Texas. It has bothered me for quite some time that I do not remember the name of the company. I could find out by cutting the figure off its base and checking the bottom of the figure, but what would be the point of that? They are among my oldest serving figures, and get trotted out to be the Cardinal's Guard in my saloon brawl games, since I use the Ral Partha figures for the Lads. (I use Blood and Swash rules.) Any idea who might have made them? No lead rot! |

Didn't Redoubt make a range about that time? |

Redoubt's are much later, by at least 15 years. Mine were definitely made in Texas. I think. |

Frontier had some Three Musketeers and Cardinal's Gurds. |

No, it wasn't Frontier either. |

Do any of these look familiar? I think that they are Ral Partha:

Yes, they are Ral Partha, and I have them too. Still no winner. |

Texas miniatures company equals Frontier miniatures |

I believe they came in a blister, and the company was primarily a fantasy or scifi rpg manufacturer. |

I vaguely remember them. 4 to a blister? A 5 or 6 sided metal base that looked like cobblestone? |
John the OFM | 04 Mar 2013 10:28 a.m. PST |
Yes, a hex base with cobblestones. That's them. Separate swords with tassels too. |

I believe they are from Amarillo Design Bureau (of Star Fleet Battles fame). In the early 80's they produced a three musketeers roleplay game with their own line of figures. I had some but traded them away awhile ago. I don't recall any base detail but they did have a seperate sword blade that had to be glued in. Hope this helps and I win the grand prize! Tom |

Could also be Martian Metals. They were based in Texas, their 25mm Dragonslayers line had hex bases, and some of them came with separate weapons. |

Maybe, but neither one rings a bell. |

A lot of Hinchcliffe-Heritage stuff ended up briefly with Texas Miniatures which got assimilated by Reaper. Perhaps? |

Some of your companies from that time span: Frontier Stone Mountain Asgard Hinchcliffe/Heritage Grenadier Minifigs Archive Scruby? Lamming Essex Superior Dragontooth |

I think they were under the FASA brand; probably cast by Grenadier. They were in a yellow blister pack I believe. |

FASA
Again, maybe. I was hoping somoeone knew it as a fact. |

John, TMP link I believe some the figs in this offer for sale are the figs in question. Could they be task force games? |
| jpattern2 | 06 Mar 2013 9:57 p.m. PST |
Wow, I think David may be our winner. We'll see what the OFM says. |

Does this look like one of them? link It was made by Task Force Games, which also put out the game Musketeer in 1985. |
