I noted a quote in the papers today that in an effort to get away from dark crime thrillers, Danish TV are planning their version of 'Downton Abbey' which will be called '1864' and will be set during the Second Schleswig-Holstein War. Even following the Downton formula there is room for some interesting military scenes. That could be very good or very disappointing. |

I loved Sweden's ANNO 1790 series, set against the backdrop of the French Revolution
if following that formula, somewhat, I think the above effort might work. |
