I want to thank my fellow TMPers for voting Fife & Drum the best historical figure range for the 2011 period. We have come a long way since the idea germanated to create an expansive range of AWI figures with grace, style and realistic proportions.

Here is a summary list of what the range includes as of March 2013:

American militia
Continentals in uniform coats and cocked hats
Continentals in hunting shirts and cocked hats
Mounted American and British officers
American artillery crew (loading and firing sets)
British artillery crew(loading and firing sets)

British Brigade of Guards
British Light Bobs
British Grenadiers in bearskins
British center company infantry

French 4-pdr and Swedish 4-pdr cannon
British 6-pdr cannon
British limber and pair of horses with driver
3-pdr galloper gun
Amusette

From the beginning, my idea was to have the talented Richard Ansell sculpt a complete range of the figures that I want for myself. I have long admired Richard's work with Minden Miniatures (SYW) and Alban Miniatures (Napoleonics)and I like the realistic proportions that his figures have, i.e. the look like real people (no oversized hands or heads or weapons).

My goal is to offer wargamers everything that they would need to build a pair of AWI armies in the 1/56 scale (approximately 31mm for those of you who prefer size rather than scale), starting with the basic infantry, artillery and cavalry for both sides. Once the three combat arms are in production, then we will go back and add some of the figure variations that were passed over in the first go through to further fill out the range. We will also add troops such as Highlanders, Hessians and riflemen as well as vignettes, casualties and personality figures.

I am very excited about this range and happy with where it is at today (nearly 100 different figures so far) and even more excited knowing what the future will bring in terms of adding new products. My goal is nothing less than to have the most complete range of AWI figures ever made.

Congrats to Jim on his award. No one deserves it more! I would like evyone to know, that without Jim's guidence, there would be no Kings Mountain Miniatures. He was there for me through every step and showed me how it could be done.

So congrats again to one of the really good guys in this hobby. I own tons of his figures and will continue to support his line. So should you. Some of the best AWI sculpts you will ever see.

Great figures, and the award is well deserved.

Since it's the Philadelphia Campaign, how about Ferguson's Rifles?

With the addition of 11 new equipment pieces, the Fife & Drum range now has 105 figures or pieces of equipment. Passing the "100" figure milestone for the range is quite remarkable, IMHO. evil grin

The new items:

Prussian 6-pounder
Prussian limber for the 6-pdr and 3-pdr
Prussian 12-pounder
Prussian 7-pd howitzer
Prussian limber for the 12-pounder
Munitions wagon
Pontoon wagon
Wagon driver in tricorn hat
French 8-pounder
French 12-pounder

please come on with more equipment specifically for AWI

What did you have in mind?

BTW, You can use the French 8 and 12 pounders for Yorktown and the munitions wagon is generic.

Well DAF I am just going to open this up and go wild with it. Based on some research of the internet with articles from everyone and including the national park service how about the following:
Mortar
Howitzer (a number of different sizes used)
12 pounders
18 pounders (siege which means on naval or fortress carriages)
24 pounders

GiloUK03 Apr 2013 2:09 a.m. PST

I'd love to see a coehorn mortar. I recall seeing one outside Paul Revere's house in Boston.

Congrats!
