Last week we gave Black Powder a try for the first time with our group. We had a blast!

Wonderful BatRep and confirmed my understanding that Black Powder, Hail Caesar, et.al. are a 28mm adaptation of Warmaster. Which is one of my favorite games. I was struck by what a small game you played given that most of the press I have seen for Black Powder and Hail Caesar is for very large games with hundreds and hundreds of miniatures. If Black Powder and Hail Caesar can handle smaller battles and still be fun then I may finally be a convert.

Great idea for hit markers.

Oh so that is what the smoke things are. So are hit markers kind of the same thing as wound markers in Warmaster?

Thanks guys.

The smoke markers were used as wound/hit markers for the units. We use these in a lot of our games, but I am working on an alternate solution for this specific period.

Same with the plastic tokens – for laughs we used "Bleeped text?" tokens to represent a disorder condition on the units, but I will probably come up with something else.
