This convention is held in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada at the 420 Wing Royal Canadian Airforce hall located next to the Ontario Regiment Military Museum (1000 Stevenson Road North)!
The "theme" for the event this year is "Destiny in the Desert" (WW2 North Africa theme).
We welcome anyone interested in playing Board games, card games, dice games and miniatures! Something for every type of tabletop gamer.
Door prizes, snacks and drink available, pay bar available Saturday afternoon for a limited time (run by the 420Wing RCAF association).

There are no set number of games running. It's a casual "come one, come all and play!" type of event. That being said; For Miniatures, currently there absolutely will be (set up by iwillnevergrowup.com for anyone to play all weekend); 2 Rules of Engagement/Bolt Action (28mm WW2 skirmish) tables
1 Warhammer 40,000 table (potentially 2)
1 Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures table
1 Angels20 (axis and allies air minis) and/or Wings of War A group of Axis and Allies miniatures players has also come out the previous 2 years (and I suspect will be there again this year) with their stuff. On top of that there are a lot of board and card/dice games that will be going on (the big one being Axis and Allies generally) throughout the weekend. There's also a "Midnight Munchkin Madness" event on the Saturday night (11pm-1am give or take a bit). |

It seems there were some issues with the paypal "buy now" button on the FMGCon.com website. That's been fixed! Apologies to anyone who has attempted to register and was met with an error and many thanks to the one who pointed it out to us. If you have tried to register recently and were met with an error, please go try again as the issue has been fixed (there was a bad bit of code in the buy now link that was referencing lines that did not exist)! |

And we've got quite the list of games in the FMGCon Games Library posted as well now. All of the games listed will be available for anyone to play during the gaming weekend! And did I mention .. Tank Rides? Yes, the Tank Museum (located next to the facilities the weekend is being held in) will have Tank Rides (as well as a demonstration as there was last year) available on the Saturday of the gaming weekend. (conditions, of course, apply such as buying into a membership in the Ferret Club .. all for insurance purposes and 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Tank Museum) |

From The Desk of the Field Marshal; Once again there will be real TANKS at this event. Not gate guards but actual moving vehicles to keep it interesting. In addition I have been informed by the 420 Wing that there will be a Battle of Britain ceremony on site for Sunday with Band and March Past.All very cool… Play War games while you enjoy the History alive around you!
