I am working on running some Wild West games in the future and one of my favorite film Westerns is Red Sun with Charles Bronson and Toshiro Mifune. It is a classic melding of two genres the Western and the Samurai film. The chemistry between Bronson and Mifune is fantastic. And of course it did not hurt having Ursula Andress in the movie either. Anyway I know there are a number of excellent 28mm Samurai figures available, but which one do you think would work best for this iconic actor of Samurai Cinema?

Here is a couple of links if you have never seen Red Sun.

For a sci-fi version, I'd recommend this figure from Infinity:

I've considered running a game inspired by "Red Sun" also. Reaper has an excellent Samurai mini: Masaki, Ronin #03524 in their Dark Heaven Legends line (which is also perfect for "Samurai Jack").

Hey! That Reaper figure is pretty nice. Hmmm…might be heroic scale however and be overly tall with my mostly Foundry and Artizan Wild West figures.

Kingsford?

Yea the Kingsford look promising Travekkera, as do the Perry Samurai in Civilian Dress pack. I figured it would not be hard to find a suitable miniature. I just was not expecting so much choice.

Oh and SuriousMilius, I had not considered ever doing a Samurai Jack game. Now that is an interesting idea.
