I'm probably the last wargamer in the world to find out about this show because I rarely watch TV (except Walking Dead of course) but this looks really cool. My guess is that it will be rife with historical inaccuracies and plot will give way to Hollywood style fantastical scenes, but who cares? A mini-series about Vikings – how awesome is that! It premieres on March 03, 2013 in the United States on the History Channel. link |

I only scanned through the description quickly so I guess I missed the part where it talks about aliens. |

What a great schedule for Sunday night. I was wondering what to do now that Dowton Abby is gone (is Matthew really dead?) Now we get a tremendous epic of the Bible by the guy who does Survivor, and then THe Vikings. Bible starts with Old Testament and will include lots of Egyptian chariots and later Biblical Battles. history.com/shows/the-bible Then the Vikings, looks good as a scripted series link |

Over three hundred were recorded as fighting for the Danes by Saxo Grammaticus in the Battle of Bravilla. The Byzantines too reported being surprized at finding armed women among the dead in Bulgaria in their encounters with the Varangians. |
