I've been painting in the engine glow on all my X-Wing ships. But google-fu has failed me on finding what the heck the engine glow on the TIE Advanced looks like. Can anyone point me to images? Or is it somehow shielded from view in the ship construction and just doesn't have any?

Here's the one that immediately came to mind:

Here's a Tie Avenger… those were pretty close to the X1:

I did not think there was much do to the stealth nature of both the TIE and TIE Adv being ION driven.

They are red. Look for photos of the death star and you will get images of TIEs from the rear.

Actually I am finding some pictures where they are white as well.

The one with the 2 red dots is a regular TIE, I have painted those on with a drop of white first, and then a drop of flourescent red.

But you gave me a good google hint, and I just searched for "trench run" and found this one: link

That's a CGI image from a game… wouldn't like to suggest its 'canon'.
