I have been working on 3mm Soviet T-72s for a 1985 era battle. I am trying to decide if I should try to put some sort of markings on my tanks to simulate numbers and other marking. I have noticed some photos with tank numbers and others practically devoid of any markings? Is there a holy grail on this? Markings, no markings? It is 3mm so I know it will not be detailed but do I put markings on to break up all that green?

As you say, actual numbers at this scale are too small to bother with. However, 3mm vehicles have a tendency to get "lost" amidst the table's terrain, so some stylized "squiggles" in white, red, etc really add a lot to vehicles in this scale.
