Ok, I've spent a lot of time in Germany in my life and I've never given any thought to exactly what that color is that so many German houses are painted. The outer walls are so often painted that cream/pale tan/light beige color. It's a specific color, as it's always the same all across Germany. Can any German wargamers help me identify that color? I've got a whole 6mm village to create. Thanks guys!

Verputz.

Isn't it also known as Maria Theresa yellow?

Is there a favorite paint that you use for this? It's not just bare Verputz. It's painted, in the same way as rough-casting is in the UK (but a different color)

Probably any lightly colored white will do, starting with variants of any "bone" coloured version. There is no standardization that I am aware of, but light pastell tones are pretty common.

What's the nearest in the Vallejo Model Colour range?

There is no standard colour, althoug many houses are painted in beige tones. In North Germany most houses have brick facades.

i think i just used a pale yellow and an alabaster colour from b&q emulsuion ranges test pots.
the black timber was done with a felt tip pen, much easier than a brush!
