I like the idea of mini dioramas, ie, two figs that work well together on 49mm rounds for skirmish games.

What do you guys think..?

I expect individually mounted figures in a skirmish game. That said, I guess you could get away with a few of them if you have figures to make change to account for casualties.

I do it all the time for figures that would generally never be separated such as crewed weapons or a sniper/bazooka/MG teams, or a commander and his RTO.

But you would want them available as separate figs just in case one dies or they need to separate.

I base up to 5 figures per base if they are a mob type entity. I wish I had done it with zombies.

I put entire weapon teams/crews onto a single base, even in games where that means I'd need to use casualty caps or something.

I think it just looks better that way.

I am seeking to base figures for a game set in 1876 Herzogovinia during the uprising against the Ottomans.
The Herzegovinans fought as in the main undisciplined bands.
