I have been busy painting some of the Perry 16th Light Dragoons to add to my convention armies for games that I will run at the SYW Assn Convention, Little Wars, Historicon and Fall In during 2013.

Here is a comparison of the mounted figures in the two ranges. The Fife & Drum figures are the British mounted officers with the finished terrain stand. The Perrys were just painted over the last two days so I haven't had a chance to base them yet.

Lovely painting as usual.

Yes, very nice. Your blog is one that I use for reference while painting my figures.

Thanks.

I don't see the difference in size with the mounted figures. Are yours meant to be bigger or smaller than perry ?! I'm thinking from the guy on foot that they're bigger…

They are about the same height. The Perry figures are a little thicker (chunkier would be too harsh a word, maybe "fuller") while the F&D are a little thinner. In any event, I'm quite happy to use the Perry cavalry with my own F&D figures. thumbs up

Very nice in any case ! I think I will order some of those mounted officers – you can never have enough command stands :-)

The paint job is nice and they do look like they will match up very well.
