Ran across this blog tonight while watching the Walking Dead. NOT my blog but pretty cool. Don't let the name fool you. themetalbikini.com I learned along time ago not to fly my fighers elbow to , he explains what happens in maneuvers (turns and banks) and why you can not do several without overlapping and losing an action. I agree on the surface but generally work my fighters in a wedge to begin with and work two or three groups together as hunter killer teams. It works well in larger games, it is a bit more complex but being able to see the battle space several moves out does give one a huge tactical advantage. That and a good understanding of air to air tactics and other principles of aerial warfare. So while we are at it anyone have other blogs worth following? As for Fan sites I am on FFG home page, Boardgame Geeks, and A Few Maneuvers, and now this blog. VR James Mattes

Nice find. Still hate those stupid turning templates, but the articles were amusing, even with the odd attempt to connect Ryan Giggs with Colour Me Badd

I wish i knew the formula for the turning templates. I need to graph them out and expand them for 1:144 scale and 20mm Ships that I plan to run at conventions coming up later this year. VR James Mattes |
