My best effort to create Tan and Water 43' and 44' with a mix of Italian camo. Special thanks to all those who contributed the uniform information. |

Might I suggest putting some cat litter on the bases. I also cut off the bases on my figures and leave a very small base around each foot to get rid of the "pitchers mound effect". Also the pants don't look right to me, never seen that kind of pant camo. Good paint jobs though. |

A quick tip on the photography, try and shoot them on a dark background. When you shoot them on a light background such as here the camera atempts to adjust the lighter background by making everything a little darker, it is trying to make everything an average grey tone value! So if you shoot on a dark background the camera will attempt to make the overall photo lighter and those beautiful figures will not get so dark. William |

OK in the interest of better photography, I am using my sons I-pad because I currently do not have a camera

The pants are my attempt at Italian camo, which is a blue green base, I looked at alot of pictures and have found ALOT of variation on that color. I used the artizan design article by Mick. Artistically I see lots of folks out there with fancy bases but any base for gaming is a compromise. I have often felt a Too busy base detracts from the figure. Currently I am working on A platoon of Japanese A second platoon of U.S. Marines. A platoon of British Paras and these Germans not counting vehicles. I will accept that my bases are a little plain. I am not being defensive here I am interested in opinions so that the history part of my art is correct as I can make it. |
