Hello fellow TMPers I am facing a problem atm! I recently made the move to 15mm [best decision ever] and am an avid skirmish gamer who runs 90% of the games for my little gathering. Normally this is not a problem because I used to do platoon size battles on a 6x4 table, but I now have a company of painted germans and americans, and want to do bigger actions, while keeping the "skirmish feel" I appreciate games like CD but it is not for me GM wise. I am going to continue using Disposable Heroes for this [since its the best imho] but I am experiencing a lack of scenario creativity atm. Could anyone reference a good scenario book either free or for sale, which has good examples of company sized actions in 1:1? Thank you ahead of time! |

The TooFatLardies have a whole series of scenario books for Company sized, WWII gaming in 15mm. Although designed for IABSM, they should be easily transferable to other systems. Www.toofatlardies.co.uk to buy, and you can see sample pages and AAR at vislardica.com. Hope this helps R PS I declare an interest: 8 of the scenario books are written by me! |

The TFL scenario books are probably your best bet. If you want to do some conversion work, check out some of the literally thousands of ASL scenarios out there
most are historically based, and around the right scale. |

Another vote for TFL booklets. No effort at all to convert to any other historical system. |

A company-sized skirmish game can bog down pretty dang quick. For a company a side, in my opinion, IABSM is best for leaving the individual troops on the table and moving the command focus from fire team/squad leaders to platoon leaders and company commanders, while still rewarding proper squad tactics. |
