Scroll further down and you can follow the work on Oudinot's II Corps. I am currently painting the Swiss and Portuguese and should add the flags within a day or two.

Completing the two armies, I can now concentrate on the Northern Campaign. I have some great maps and information to share.

I like your work. One stand equals what?

Generally, one element represents a battalion or a cavalry regiment of four squadrons. Russian Hussars and Uhlans would have two elements to represent the double size number of squadrons.

The engagements leading up to the first Battle of Polotsk, I read accounts of Russian cavalry operating with half their number to enable the remaining squadrons to support elsewhere during a battle.

Also, as the Line and Grenadier regiments used their skirmishers in the role they were intended has prompted me to re-think the historical representation.

I like the idea of splitting a cavalry regiment into two and Line and Grenadier battalions fielding their skirmishers. This will require some testing, but in essence the deployment could follow the same DBA method for dismounting knights as a pip requirement.

More later, back to painting.
Cheers,
