A serendipitous discovery while putting the Guidebook app together for COLD WARS 2013 demonstrated that the folks at Guidebook have added free social media sharing, which we really haven't had opportunity to use to its full potential in the past (because it wasn't a free feature until now!).

So, are you trying to get the word out about your event to your friends, or the whole wide world? Guidebook added some features to make it about as easy as making toast. I've always felt that this is a task EVERY GM should do in preparation for running a game-- promoting the living hell out of it so that the word gets out about our awesome hobby. Social media, being free for the most part, is kind of a no-brainer in that regard.

So, here we go, I've put together a quick tutorial replete with screen shots, on how you can use GUIDEBOOK to pump your event listing out to the eager masses, hungering for game event information.. it's right here: link

Enjoy, read, discuss, and get out there and PROMOTE YOUR GAME! It's up to all of us.

Social media, social disease – who can tell the difference?

Love it, hate it, it IS effective, and free.
