The rather helpful GUIDEBOOK app for smartphones, tablet devices, and most things that can point at a web browser returns for COLD WARS 2013. Guidebook, if you can't remember from last year, posts a handy schedule, map sets, and convention information for you to be displayed on your Android, IoS and any device that can be pointed at the web.

You can create your own personal calendar for scheduling your convention in advance, and it will beep you when your event is coming up. Guidebook has maps of every room in the Host, laid out with gaming tables, the schedule (as of today), the Vendors list, and other meta-level information about COLD WARS 2013.

Now, read this next bit carefully: I JUST SENT IT TO PRE-PUB REVIEW TODAY. That means it will be out there for the public to see and download probably BY TUESDAY. I'll let you know when it's released. IN THE MEANTIME, here's information about how to get the app, how to download the Cold Wars Guide when it shows up, and a Special offer about your event banner.

What's that last part? Well, each event type has a little banner at the top of it that everyone can see. I have done four or five very generic ones called GAMES, SEMINARS, TOURNAMENTS, HOBBY UNIVERSITY, and OPERATIONS. If you want one that represents your specific event as listed in the schedule, there are instructions about how to make one and how to send it to me. I'll insert it into your event, gratis, no obligation-- so that anyone who looks at your event using guidebook will see it. Kapish?

So, general instructions for the app (which SHOULD be showing up Tuesday) are here: link

I'll be happy to work with you to promote your event, but you'll have to do the artwork yourself.

Many thanks for your time and attention,

Walt O'Hara

** NOTE ** 1900 Hrs. Update. Just got an email from Guidebook.com. They have released the Guide, it is published, feel free to go out there and get it. Now. Get 'em while we have 'em!!! Well, that was fast.. or maybe after using it for five cons, they know we're not going to upload porn or anything.

All the rest of the information pertaining to the post is good, I may change screenshots shortly as now I have a guidebook to lift them from.
