I have updated my blog with the first of a new project for 2013. The Russo Japanese War, using the excellent figures from Tusba Miniatures.

A brief painting guide to the Japanese can be found here.

Excellent – you've reminded me of another side project yet to see the light of day.

Irish – I believe 28mm.

The Russo-Japanese war's a conflict I've always wanted to collect minis for… I was going to buy minis from Redoubt Enterpries:

So what year did the japanese adopt khaki uniforms?

There 1890s and Boxer Rebellion uniform was Dark Blue for Winter adn White for Summer.

Around June 1904 just after the Battle of Yalu River, but some units still wore the Blue for quite a while after that.
