Many thanks to the nice Burton Doubles people who kindly awarded my Palmyran camp the Best Baggage prize at the weekend. I'd have shared this anyway, now I feel shameless
This is a 120 x 80 FoG sized piece showing the camel train marshalling near a well
(some other views) For those interested in the event itself (and our rather mediocre progress as players FoG-AM) there is more on Ancients on the Move/Burton
scroll down to the bottom for a few more details on the camp

I'm glad you posted this. I tried to get a look around the room during the games but piling slaves on and off the table took rather a long time :) I agree with your blog comment that Burton's prize giving is a great way to inspire camp building. |

Thanks, Swampster
Will you post a link to pictures of the revolting slaves? I usually try to get more pics of the other games, but playing without a partner on the Saturday, I well less able than usual to wander off with my camera
Cheers Phil |

The palm trees are a mix of the very common cake decorations: I think the source is link but a friend bought one of the big bags and shared a handful
and the equally inexpensive and rather fine
from Timecast in the UK: link (scroll down to 'plastic palm trees') I picked up a pack browsing at a show
Hope that helps Thanks for the kind comments Phil |
