Eric, in checking your blog I noticed that you were making an effort to expand your fleet with Disney Pirates of the Caribbean ships and were surprised when the one you got on ebay was huge. I know that ship, and it is big. It would be a great ship for staging deck fighting on but it is far bigger than any of the other Disney Pirates of the Caribbean ships even the Queen Anne's Revenge which was marketed with the fourth movie. Having said all this, there are two other versions of the Black Pearl (marketed with the first/I think and third movies) that are perfect for use with your 28mm fleet. I have three of them (two from the early film and one from the third) which I have renamed Walrus, Calliope and Hispaniola. I also have the Queen Anne's Revenge from the fourth movie which I have renamed Seraphim. The Seraphim is big but I think it works well with 28s given some deck modification. You can see mine in pics 46, 48, 51, 69, 72, 73, and 75 (crewed by Foundry and Old Glory figures) at warin15mm.com/Pirates.html |

Thanks for sharing your pics. Like the looks of your Ainsty vessel, as well as they toy ship with the green trim. Who makes the latter vessel? It does look like it would make a nice sloop, or brig. |

Thanks Guys for the great feedback
its been fun putting this together. Still need to finish the town, tart up a few bits, paint another 60 figures etc etc etc
Mako 11: The Ship with the green trim is this one.. auction War in 15mm – yes the big ship is just too big – but I used the sails for my Ainsty boat. Cheers Eric |

I freaking love this project. Looks like it could make for SUCH a fantastic multi person RPG/wargame campaign
