It looks like I have an hour or two of free time in Kingston this Thursday, has there been any change in the game store scene lately? It's been a while, but I know about Nexus and the general hobby place on Gardiner, not sure if there's any other news.

I remember the long-ago brief glory of having Battlefields & Books downtown – still have unpainted figs from some impulse buys there circa 1998 or so.

Failing any game store news, is that semi-underground used book store still on Princess? I used to find some real gems in there.

Thanks,
Chris

Berry & Peterson has a good history section. The bookstore on the corner of Bagot and Princess (right by Nexus) has a few Ospreys as well as some General/Military History. There is a lso a boardgame store called Minotaur on the other side of Princess a few doors up.

You know Nexus is on Bagot, right? (Or are you remembering their old location?)

Thanks aftfritz. I remember Nexus on Bagot, but then I tend to go by visual memory rather than by street name anyway, so I'm not sure if my turns will get me there – but I'll make sure I find Bagot now.

What really bugs me is I can't remember my secret downtown Kingston parking spot. I don't think I've used it since 2000 and the memory is just gone. I think it was up near Division and Princess, maybe behind the towers.

If you have not done it yet try Google Earth Street view. There you an actually walk down the street and look at store signs and look for your parking lot as well

Found them all, thanks guys. I hit the Ospreys at B&P, and of the (now) three physical stores I sometimes visit that carry them, all have had the Great Lakes 1812 naval book, so I finally gave in and got it.

Project #90 coming up I guess.
