How did you make the initial "ring"?

Two layers of .040 Evergreen sheet. Mark the size with a compass; then do a rough cut out with a jewelers' saw. Sand and file to eyeball a disk. I am thinking of trying a cast in resin and then detail the resin to give me something stiff enough to make a vulvanized mould from. The Evergreen styrene is very easy to work with hand tools. Rob.
